Carbon Capture means cleaner and affordable electricity

Since late last year, the Coalition for a Secure Energy Future has focused its advertising messaging on carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). Most researchers would agree that the commercialization of CCUS is pivotal to advancing the next generation of coal technologies.

In particular, the lignite industry is positioning itself with carbon capture because we know leaders in Washington change, and so do their policies and regulations on energy. In the near future, it is very likely government regulators will demand a carbon-constrained world. That’s why we focus so much of our efforts on capturing carbon and the potential for utilization.
